Steve holds an LL.M. and J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, both cum laude, and a B.A. from the University of Baltimore, summa cum laude. He is admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court. His professional affiliations include WealthCounsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Academy of Special Needs Planners, EPIC Peer Group, and the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys.
Steve has served in numerous leadership capacities, including past Chair of the Elder Law and Disability Rights Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association, past President of the Coalition of Geriatric Services (COGS), and Chair of the Pro Bono Subcommittee of the MSBA Elder Law Section. He was also the longtime chair for Law Day Maryland.
In addition to his legal career, Steve is a passionate advocate for the arts and community enrichment. In 2014, he founded the Elville Center for the Creative Arts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation which works to make a musical difference in the lives of children by connecting them to further music education opportunities, musical instruments, equipment, and supplies. He also serves as President of Friends of Baltimore Classical Music, Inc., and owns Elville Studios, LLC.
Through his legal practice, leadership, and philanthropy, Steve continues to inspire others to plan purposefully, live meaningfully, and give back to their communities.
