When planning for a loved one with special needs, the formation and collaboration of the advisory planning team (attorney, CPA, and financial advisor) is indispensable.  This team should also include an advocate, and depending on the situation, a nurse to ensure that the beneficiary’s needs are being addressed and that their health is being monitored (i.e. monthly, quarterly).
