The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has released its Spousal Impoverishment Standards for 2017. In the case of a spousal Medicaid spend down, the community (or well) spouse may generally keep one-half of assets up to a maximum of $120,900.00 (up from $119,700.00). This is known as the maximum Community Spouse Resource Allowance.
