The joy of estate planning is when children (or other beneficiaries) participate in the planning process by recognizing and becoming educated about the planning, thereby gaining knowledge and confidence in the future and their future responsibilities.  The appreciation these loving and intelligent beneficiaries then bestow on you in return is   the fulfillment of a certain dream.
