As summer nears its end and minor children prepare to go back to school, it’s a good time for young parents to revisit the guardianship provisions in their wills.  Who are the guardians and the successor guardians, and are they still suitable at this point in time?  Should the guardian and the trustee be the same person, or different persons?  Should customized provisions be added concerning the potential for guardianship, or a statement or letter of intent included?
