The Maryland Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets Act, signed into law on May 10, 2016, allows an individual to authorize a fiduciary access to their digital assets.  Conversely, individuals can limit fiduciary access by not “opting in”.  Such authority must be affirmatively provided by way of the individual’s power of attorney, will, or trust.
