Electronic monitoring devices may increase the safety and well-being of those being cared for at home or in a skilled nursing facility.  Maryland government has provided only limited electronic monitoring guidelines for facilities that voluntarily allow the use of such devices.  If you think electronic monitoring is right for your loved one’s care situation, first consult with an experienced elder law attorney prior to launching the project, as there are many important issues to consider.
