SUMMARY:Estate Planning for Surviving Spouses: Considerations\, Recommendations\, and Procedures
DESCRIPTION:While the simultaneous passing of spouses is certainly a possibility\, the likelihood that one spouse will predecease the other is a reality which must be contemplated and discussed.  Remarriage and asset protection are two of the most common concerns voiced by married couples when thinking about how the estate will be handled in the event that one spouse dies before the other.  In these discussions\, it often comes as a complete surprise to learn that there are also certain statutory mandates regarding inheritance between spouses that must be taken into account.\nJoin Managing Principal and Lead Attorney Stephen R.
