Barrett R. King, Esq., to Present as Faculty Member During National Business Institute May Seminar

Barrett R. King, Partner at Elville and Associates, will be one of eight distinguished faculty members at the National Business Institute’s May 12th seminar in Baltimore, Maryland, titled “Trusts 101,” a comprehensive seminar for professionals involved in creating, administering and terminating trusts.

The course will provide a step-by-step walk-through of a probate case with practice tips from the faculty, enable the attendees to effectively guide the executor and administrator through their various duties, help them avoid problems arising from creditors’ claims, assist in forestalling disagreements between beneficiaries along with other topics of importance.

Mr. King authored and will present the topic, “Estate Planning for the Disabled”— which will cover the types of special needs trusts and their specific purposes and who can be the beneficiary along with drafting tips and samples. He also will present the topic, “Ethical Considerations,” which will cover the importance of confidentiality in third party communications and knowing your client, assessing the client’s capacity and avoiding fraudulent transfers.

Other topics included in the seminar include “Where to Begin?- An Overview of Trusts”; “Revocable Living Trusts”; “Trusts Used for Tax Reduction”; and “Grantor Trusts.”
